Compliance
Framework for promoting compliance
We have established an Ethics and Legal Compliance Committee, chaired by the Executive Officer in charge, and appointed a Compliance Manager to ensure and promote compliance.
The Ethics and Legal Compliance Committee meets semi-annually to formulate the annual compliance program, review progress, and discuss other important compliance issues.
Hotline
A whistleblower system, the Hotline, has been set up to detect violations of the law and misconduct at an early stage and to promote self-cleansing. The reporting and consultation contact points for the Hotline have been established not only within the Company but also outside it, and a contact point has also been established at the Audit & Supervisory Board to ensure independence from senior management.
The Hotline is also available for anonymous reporting, and internal rules clearly state that whistleblowers must not be treated unfairly and that the name of the whistleblower and the content of the report must be kept confidential. For individual reports, an investigation team will be formed according to the content of the report to confirm the facts.
Based on the results, we review rules and hold briefings on actions that may not be in compliance with laws and internal rules, and work to promote and disseminate correct understanding.
If an illegal act or violation of Company rules is identified, we will take disciplinary action against the individual or take corrective action in the appropriate department.
The Hotline system is promoted through posters in each division and office of the company, as well as through briefings.

Response to Anti-Social Forces
The "RYODEN Group Code of Conduct" stipulates a firm stance against anti-social forces, and we have established a system to ensure that all officers and employees of Ryoden and the RYODEN Group are fully aware of and abide by it.
Anti-corruption and anti-bribery initiatives
In accordance with the Mitsubishi Electric Group's Anti-Bribery Policy, the Group declares both internally and externally that Group companies or their officers or employees will not engage in bribery and will firmly reject any unreasonable requests. In addition to establishing rules to prevent bribery of public officials and others, we conduct regular anti-corruption training programs, including at overseas Group companies, to raise awareness of the issue.
Compliance Education
The RYODEN Group has declared "Compliance with Laws, Regulations, and Rules" as the first item in the "RYODEN Group Code of Conduct" and has declared that compliance with laws, regulations, and rules takes precedence over the pursuit of profit.
In addition to establishing a framework, such as an Ethics and Legal Compliance Committee and a hotline, to ensure compliance, we believe it is important to provide thorough training to each employee who operates such a framework.
An annual Group-wide compliance self-assessment is conducted to confirm compliance status.
